Individuals may be killed during your missions but at the end of a patrol one may refill vacancies (at a cost in renown) from a roster of replacements.Individual crew members may also gain "Special abilities" which makes them even more valuable as members of your crew.As the game progresses individuals gain experience and may be promoted which may improve their skills. Individuals with varying abilities are assigned to your sub and may be assigned to any of the various compartments with your sub or replaced at the captain's discretion.
